Buckles have a pull strength of 100 lbs. which keeps dogs from getting away, but may break as a safety precaution for the user to prevent injury in very extreme cases where extreme force is used. Handle has been conveniently stitched into the lead so you can restrain your dog at a moments notice, or disconnect via quick release buckle to use as a regular leash.
